A roar fills the sky, a jet zooms by, and kids all point and shout

This video is a great introduction to airplanes, how they fly, and the people who fly them. Along with passenger planes, our host Dave got some great interviews with real pilots and crew, and a thorough tour a United Parcel Service 747. The footage of operations on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk is superb, making it clear how both the capture wire and the take-off sled work. The explanations by the Navy personnel, including the Kitty Hawk's Captain, are excellent, and well oriented to young viewers - well worth the brief obligatory Navy "plug" at the end of the film.
Dave is funny without being stupid, and keeps the pace moving. He engages with his hosts and they really seem to like him. We do! This film is better for an older audience than Cleared For Takeoff, while Cleared For Takeoff has a slower pace and more of a plot. True airplane junkies will appreciated I've Always Loved Airplanes, an hour and a half of everything from model planes to airplane factories to C5 cargo giants.
